Purple Bamboo Salt is made by mixing natural sun-dried salt with loess and spring water enriched (fortified) with purple bamboo rock salt. The mixture is stirred into a paste form and packed into a 3 year-old matured bamboo trunk. It is then roasted with pine firewood and pine resin at a temperature of 2500 °C. Purple bamboo salt is enriched with minerals and trace minerals. It increases the hardness of enamel, reduces formation of tartar and prevents periodontal disease.
